Landforms and Volcanoes
When we learned about solids, liquids, and gases........
Science Experiments--making Flubber which is a solid yet drips like liquid. The only real difference is that is drips
S-L-O-W-L-Y and then when it touches the floor it is a solid again. Weird? True! and Amazing!! The secret?--BORAX
It was National Pancake Day so we made delicious and colorful pancakes--yummy!
Cookie Moon Phases--There are 8 phases of the moon and you can use a vanilla/chocolate cookie to represent all of them :)
Science is so much fun! That is why we try to be in the Pickles Group to do science experiments each week! No child wants to be in Ketchup group to work on all the work you need to catch up on!
Fall Pumpkins, Pudding, and Halloween
We used the guts of our pumpkin to make pumpkin puree, then we added it to vanilla pudding for a fall treat! Yummy!!
Who knew pumpkins could be so much fun? From pulling out the pulp to counting the seeds, we spent a morning covered in orange goo. Science is so much fun!!
We studied the California Gold Rush and became miners for the day by digging chocolate chips out of cookies. It is NOT as easy as you would think, those miners had to work REALLY hard to get the nuggets out in good shape! But at least we got to eat our cookies after we were done! Miner Miner 49er!
Some of our work and classroom displays
We've been studying the roles people have in their community, jobs and careers students can have one day, and how we must all work together to learn and live!
