Background Info:
I grew up in Virginia and moved to NC in 1997 to attend Lenoir-Rhyne College (it wasn't a university then!) I graduated with Honors in 2001 and got a fabulous job teaching third grade here at Longview. This is my 20th year here!
I have one daughter who is a high school sophomore this year.
I was chosen as an Outstanding Math Educator in 2017, the Wells Fargo Teacher of the Year in 2013, the Wilmer Jenkins teacher of the year for Hickory Public Schools in 2007, and the Longview teacher of the year in 2006.
I have several cats who use us for food and 4 dogs.
I love to read, I like salty foods and Diet SunDrop, and I try to stay busy busy, my brain does not like to rest so your children will hopefully be active and busy at school with me!
